عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ رِبْعِيٍّ : أَنَّهُ حَرَسَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَيْلَةَ بَدْرٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ كَمَا حَفِظَ نَبِيَّكَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah al-Harith bin Rib'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the night of Badr he guarded the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Protect Abu Qatadah just as he has protected Your Prophet this night."
