وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : كُنَّا نَنْقُلُ اللَّبِنَ لِلْمَسْجِدِ لَبِنَةً لَبِنَةً ، وَكَانَ عَمَّارٌ يَنْقُلُ لِبِنَتَيْنِ لِبِنَتَيْنِ ، فَيَنْفُضُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ كَتِفِهِ التُّرَابَ وَقَالَ : " وَيْحَكَ يَا ابْنَ سُمَيَّةَ ! تَقْتُلُكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: While building the Prophet's Mosque we were carrying bricks one at a time, whereas Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was carrying them two at a time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), brushing the dust off his shoulder, said: "O son of Sumayyah, woe to you! A rebellious group will kill you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
