بَابٌ فِي أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ حِبِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ -
Reports on Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him), the beloved of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Majma al-Zawaid 15543 — Reports on Usamah bin Zayd, the beloved
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : إِنَّهُ لَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ كُلِّهِمْ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ : حَاشَا فَاطِمَةَ . قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
In one narration the words are: "He is the most beloved of all people to me." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: Except for Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), whose case is different.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is reported in the Sahih in abridged form. Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
