بَابٌ فِي أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ حِبِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ -
Reports on Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him), the beloved of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : لَمَّا اسْتَعْمَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ قَالَ النَّاسُ فِيهِ ، فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَوْ شَيْءٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ بَلَغَنِي مَا قُلْتُمْ فِي أُسَامَةَ ، وَلَقَدْ قُلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فِي أَبِيهِ قَبْلَهُ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَخَلِيقٌ بِالْإِمَارَةِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَخَلِيقٌ بِالْإِمَارَةِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَخَلِيقٌ بِالْإِمَارَةِ ، وَإِنَّهُ أَتَى حِبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ " .
قَالَ :مَنِ اسْتَثْنَى فَاطِمَةَ وَغَيْرَهَا .
قَالَ :مَنِ اسْتَثْنَى فَاطِمَةَ وَغَيْرَهَا .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) as the commander of an expedition, some people talked about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been informed that you have spoken about Usamah, and before this you spoke about his father too. He is worthy of command, he is worthy of command, he is worthy of command, and he is the most beloved of all people to me." The narrator says: Some excepted Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and others.
