وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا جرَّ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ مِنْ يَوْمِ وُلِدَ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَمُوتُ هَرَمًا فِي طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - لَحَقَّرَهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ ، وَلَوَدَّ أَنَّهُ رُدَّ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا كَيْمَا يَزْدَادَ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ وَالثَّوَابِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Abi Amrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the Companions, says: "If a man were to go about on his face in obedience to Allah Almighty from the day he was born until the day he dies in old age, on the Day of Resurrection he would consider even that insignificant, and he would wish that he be sent back to the world so that his reward and recompense might increase."
