عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا يَخِرُّ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ مِنْ يَوْمِ وُلِدَ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَمُوتُ فِي مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - لَحَقَّرَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ بَقِيَّةُ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ صَرَّحَ بِالتَّحْدِيثِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ بَقِيَّةُ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ صَرَّحَ بِالتَّحْدِيثِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Utbah bin Abd (may Allah be pleased with him) states that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a man were to remain fallen on his face from the day he was born until the day he dies, for the pleasure of Allah Almighty, on the Day of Resurrection he would consider even this deed insignificant."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir) recorded it. It contains a narrator, Baqiyyah, who was a mudallis (one who practised tadlis), but here he has explicitly stated that he heard it directly (tahdith); the remaining narrators of this narration have been declared trustworthy.
