وَعَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لِجَعْفَرٍ : " خَلْقُكَ كَخَلْقِي ، وَأَشْبَهَ خَلْقَكَ خَلْقِي ، فَأَنْتَ مِنِّي ، وَأَنْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ فَمِنِّي وَأَبُو وَلَدِي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَقَّالٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him): "Your physical appearance is like my physical appearance, and your character resembles my character most closely. You are from me; and O Ali! you too are from me, and you are the father of my children."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Ahmad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Aqqal, who is da'if (weak).
