وَعَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَالَ : قَدِمَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ ، فَقَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : " مَا أَدْرِي أَنَا بِقُدُومِ جَعْفَرٍ أَسَرُّ أَمْ بِفَتْحِ خَيْبَرَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الثَّلَاثَةِ ، وَفِي رِجَالِ الْكَبِيرِ أَنَسُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: When Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the land of Abyssinia, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed him between his two eyes and said: "I do not know whether I am happier at Ja'far's arrival or at the conquest of Khaybar."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in all three of his books; the chain of al-Mu'jam al-Kabir contains a narrator, Anas bin Salm, whom I do not know, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
