بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْعَبَّاسِ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَنْ جُمِعَ مَعَهُ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ
Reports on al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), paternal uncle of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and those of his children mentioned with him

عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ قَالَ : اسْتَأْذَنَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي الْهِجْرَةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " يَا عَمِّ ، أَقِمْ مَكَانَكَ الَّذِي أَنْتَ فِيهِ ; فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - يَخْتِمُ بِكَ الْهِجْرَةَ كَمَا خَتَمَ بِيَ النُّبُوَّةَ " . رَوَاهُ أَبِي يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for permission to emigrate, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O uncle, stay where you are, for Allah Almighty will conclude the emigration through you just as He concluded prophethood through me."
Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abu Mus'ab Isma'il bin Qays, who is matruk (abandoned).
