بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِ حَمْزَةَ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَرَضِيَ عَنْهُ
Reports on the virtue of Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him), paternal uncle of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " سَيِّدُ الشُّهَدَاءِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، وَرَجُلٌ قَامَ إِلَى إِمَامٍ جَائِرٍ فَأَمَرَهُ وَنَهَاهُ فَقَتَلَهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the leader of all the martyrs will be Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib, and a man who stands up before a tyrannical ruler and commands him (to do good) or forbids him (from evil), and he (the ruler) has him killed."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and there is weakness in it.
