وَعَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ : كَانَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ يُقَاتِلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَيَقُولُ : أَنَا أَسَدُ اللَّهِ ، وَأَسَدُ رَسُولِهِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى قَائِلِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Umayr bin Ishaq narrates: Sayyiduna Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) used to fight in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he would say: "I am the lion of Allah and the lion of His Messenger."
