عَنْ عَاتِكَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ رَاكِبًا أَخَذَ صَخْرَةً مِنْ أَبِي قُبَيْسٍ فَرَمَى بِهَا لِلرُّكْنِ ، فَتَفَلَّقَتِ الصَّخْرَةُ ، فَمَا بَقِيَتْ دَارٌ مِنْ دُوْرِ قُرَيْشٍ إِلَّا دَخَلَتْهَا مِنْهَا كَسْرَةً غَيْرَ دُوْرِ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ . قُلْتُ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى آخِرِهِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ طَرِيقِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ مُرْسَلًا ، وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الْإِسْنَادِ .
Sayyidah Atikah bint Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I saw a rider who took a rock from Mount Abu Qubays and threw it towards the Rukn; the rock shattered into pieces, and a piece of it entered every household of Quraysh, except that it did not enter the household of Banu Zuhrah. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: After this the narrator transmitted the complete hadith to its end.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration; it has previously passed via Urwah bin al-Zubayr as a mursal narration, and it is hasan (good) in terms of its chain.
