وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ [أَنَّهُ]قَالَ [لَهَا]: "
إِنَّمَا سُمِّيتِ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِتَسْعَدِي ، وَإِنَّهُ لَاسْمُكِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُولَدِي " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
إِنَّمَا سُمِّيتِ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِتَسْعَدِي ، وَإِنَّهُ لَاسْمُكِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُولَدِي " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "You were named Umm al-Mu'minin (Mother of the Believers) so that your good fortune would be made manifest, and this name of yours was decided before you were born."
