وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : وَاللَّهِ مَا هِبْتُ الْكَلَامَ عِنْدَ أَحَدٍ هَيْبَتِي عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ ، وَمَا سَمِعْتُ كَلَامَهَا إِلَّا ذَكَرْتُ كَلَامَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ [الْكَلْبِيُّ] ، وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ .
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: "By Allah! I am not as awed when speaking with anyone as I am awed in the presence of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). Whenever I heard her speak, the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my mind."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Sa'ib al-Kalbi, who is kadhdhab (a liar).
