Muhammad bin Jahsh narrates: Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) expressed pride before one another. Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I am the one whom Allah Almighty married off from the heavens." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I am the one concerning whose innocence a ruling was revealed, when Safwan bin al-Mu'attal mounted me on the riding animal." Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) asked her: "When you mounted, what did you recite?" Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I recited: 'Hasbiya Allahu wa ni'ma al-wakil (Allah Almighty is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs).'" Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "You recited the declaration of the believers."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Mu'alla bin Irfan, who is matruk (abandoned).
