Majma al-Zawaid 15256 — The virtue of Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, wife
وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ قَالَ : أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ عَلِيٌّ ، وَمِنَ النِّسَاءِ خَدِيجَةُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِي رِجَالِهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَوَثَّقَهُمُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .
Malik bin al-Huwayrith states: Among men, the first to accept Islam was Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and among women, the first to accept Islam was Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her).
Al-Tabarani recorded it; there is weakness in its narrators, and Ibn Hibban declared them thiqat (trustworthy).
