بَابُ فَضْلِ خَدِيجَةَ بِنْتِ خُوَيْلِدٍ زَوْجَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -

وَعَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ : كَانَتْ خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ وَهِيَ عِنْدَهُ ، وَهِيَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ صَدَّقَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَآمَنَ بِهِ ، وَتُوُفِّيَتْ بِمَكَّةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بِثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ زُبَالَةَ أَيْضًا ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Ibn Shihab states: Sayyidah Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her) was the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) before the Qur'an was revealed to him. Then the Qur'an was revealed to him and she remained his wife. She is the first person who affirmed the truth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and believed in him. She passed away in Makkah three years before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed for Madinah.
