وَعَنْ حُجْرِ بْنِ عَنْبَسٍ أَيْضًا - وَكَانَ قَدْ أَكَلَ الدَّمَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، وَشَهِدَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - الْجَمَلَ وَصِفِّينَ - فَقَالَ : خَطَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - فَاطِمَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا - فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " هِيَ لَكَ يَا عَلِيُّ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Hujr bin Anbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He had eaten blood in the era of Jahiliyyah, and he took part with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in the Battle of the Camel and the Battle of Siffin. He says: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) proposed marriage to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Ali! She will be married to you.
