عَنْ قَاضِي الْأَجْنَادِ بِالْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ : يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَقْعُدَنَّ عَلَى مَائِدَةٍ يُدَارُ عَلَيْهَا الْخَمْرُ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَدْخُلِ الْحَمَّامَ إِلَّا بِإِزَارٍ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ حَلِيلَتَهُ الْحَمَّامَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .

The judge of the armies in Constantinople narrates: Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O people! I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day must never sit at a dining spread around which wine is passed; whoever believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day should not enter the bathhouse (hammam) without a waist-wrapper; and whoever believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day should not let his wife go to the bathhouse."
