Ibn Wa'il, or Wa'il bin Alqamah, said that he was present there at that time. He said: A man stood up and asked: "Is Husayn among you?" The people said: "Yes." He said: "Receive the tidings of Hellfire." He (Husayn) said: "You receive the tidings of a Merciful Lord and of an intercessor who is obeyed." The people said: "Who are you?" He said: "I am Ibn Juwayrah" (the narrator is unsure whether he said) "Ibn Huwayzah." He (Husayn) said: "O Allah, drag him to the Fire." His mount threw him, and his foot caught in the stirrup. The narrator says: By Allah, nothing of his body remained except that foot.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ata bin al-Sa'ib, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but his memory became confused (ikhtilat).
