وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ لِلنَّاسِ حِينَ تَزَوَّجَ بِنْتَ عَلِيٍّ : أَلَا تُهَنِّئُونِي ! سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " يَنْقَطِعُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُلُّ سَبَبٍ وَنَسَبٍ إِلَّا سَبَبِي وَنَسَبِي " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he heard Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saying to the people, when Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) married the daughter of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): Will you not congratulate me? I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "On the Day of Resurrection every tie (sabab) and lineage (nasab) will be cut off, except my tie and my lineage."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir in abridged form; the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih, except al-Hasan bin Sahl, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
