Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had spread out his sheet. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sat on it; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) were on it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of its edges, drew the sheet over them and said: "O Allah! Be pleased with them just as I am pleased with them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Ubayd bin Tufayl, who is thiqah (trustworthy); his kunyah is Abu Sidan.
