وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي فِيكُمْ كَمَثَلِ سَفِينَةِ نُوحٍ ; مَنْ رَكِبَهَا نَجَا ، وَمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهَا غَرِقَ ، وَإِنَّمَا مَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي فِيكُمْ مَثَلُ بَابِ حِطَّةٍ فِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ; مَنْ دَخْلَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The example of my Ahl al-Bayt among you is like the ark of Sayyiduna Nuh (peace be upon him): whoever boarded it was saved, and whoever stayed behind from it drowned. And the example of my Ahl al-Bayt among you is like the Gate of Hittah among the Children of Israel: whoever entered it will be forgiven."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
