One narration has these words: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the Farewell Hajj, he encamped at the place of Ghadir Khumm. There, at his command, the ground beneath the trees was swept. Then he stood up and said: It seems as if I will be called and I will have to go. At the end of this narration are these words: I asked Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him): Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: Everyone who was present at that place at that time was seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his own two eyes and hearing the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his own two ears. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of this narration is mentioned in the Sahih, and in al-Tirmidhi, from it,
this narration is mentioned: "Whoever I am the mawla (patron) of, Ali too is his mawla."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. The first and second chains contain a narrator, Hakim bin Jubayr, who is da'if (weak).
