وَعَنْ أَبِي الْحَمْرَاءِ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَأْتِي بَابَ عَلِيٍّ وَفَاطِمَةَ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ ، فَيَقُولُ : " إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْأَعْمَى ، وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu al-Hamra' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) come to the door of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) for six months, and he would recite: "O People of the House, Allah has intended to remove impurity from you and to purify you thoroughly."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abu Dawud al-A'ma (the blind), who is a kadhdhab (liar).
