وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ مُرْسَلًا قَالَ : كَانَ قَوْمٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ خَرَجُوا ، فَمَا خَرَجُوا تَلَاوَمُوا ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ : وَاللَّهِ مَا أَخْرَجَنَا فَارْجِعُوا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " وَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْخَلْتُهُ وَأَخْرَجْتُكُمْ ، وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَدْخَلَهُ وَأَخْرَجَكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Muhammad bin Ali narrated from Ibrahim bin Sa'd, from his father, and this has also been transmitted from Muhammad bin Ali as a mursal report. He says: Some people were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and when Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) entered, those people went out. When they had gone out, they blamed one another and said to each other: By Allah, we were not sent out, so go back. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Allah, it was not I who brought him in and sent you out; rather, Allah Almighty brought him in and sent you out."
