Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14593

Abu al-Tufayl narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came while Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was sleeping in the dust, and he said: "The most fitting of your names is Abu Turab (father of dust); you are Abu Turab."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
