بَابُ إِعَانَتِهِ فِي جَيْشِ الْعُسْرَةِ وَغَيْرِهِ .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ : أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ ذَلِكَ حِينَ أَعْطَى عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَا جَهَّزَ بِهِ جَيْشَ الْعُسْرَةِ ، وَجَاءَ بِسَبْعِمِائَةِ أُوقِيَّةٍ ذَهَبٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was present on the occasion when Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the provisions for equipping the Army of Hardship (Jaysh al-Usrah); he brought seven hundred uqiyyah of gold.
Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it. Its chain contains Ibrahim bin Umar bin Aban, who is da'if (weak).
