عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَرَأَى لَحْمًا فَقَالَ : " مَنْ بَعَثَ بِهَذَا ؟ " . قُلْتُ : عُثْمَانُ . قَالَتْ : فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ يَدْعُو لِعُثْمَانَ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my house and saw some meat, and he asked: Who sent this? I said: Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Then I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raise both his hands and supplicate for Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him).
