Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to Sayyiduna Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him): Stay and look after her, for she must have either me or you with her, and you are more entitled to it. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) behind for her. When Allah Almighty granted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) victory, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) giving him the glad tidings that Allah Almighty had completed their number including you. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of it is in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Mujalid bin Sa'id, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
