Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1451

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about a woman who has a wet dream: must she perform a ritual bath (ghusl)? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! When she sees the fluid (i.e. the sign of a wet dream), she should perform ghusl."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman al-Qushayri, about whom Abu Hatim said: "He used to lie."
