Al-Hasan bin Abi al-Hasan narrates: I entered the mosque and there before me was Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), reclining on his upper sheet. Two water-carriers came to him and presented their dispute to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) gave judgment between them. Then I went to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and looked at him closely: he was a man with a handsome face. On his face were some marks of smallpox, and his hair covered his forearms.
Abdullah recorded it. Its chain contains Abu al-Miqdam Hisham bin Ziyad, who is matruk (abandoned).
