وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ : يُقَالُ : قُتِلَ عُمَرُ ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ ، وَالثَّبْتُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ ابْنَ ثَمَانٍ وَخَمْسِينَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .

Amr bin Ali narrates: It is said that when Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred he was sixty-three years old; however, the established view is that he was fifty-eight years old at that time.
