Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14426

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Every prophet there has been had one or two teachers (mu'allim) in his Ummah, and if any of them is to be in my Ummah, it will be Umar bin al-Khattab. Indeed, the truth is upon the tongue and heart of Umar." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: part of this narration is in the Sahih, though not in this wording.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Zinad, who is layyin (weak) in hadith.
