وَعَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ : اسْتُخْلِفَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي جُمَادَى الْآخِرَةِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ . فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Al-Zubayr bin Bakkar narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was appointed caliph on the very day on which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the month of Jumada al-Akhirah in the year 13 AH. After that the narrator mentioned the complete narration.
