Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14396

Al-Haytham bin Imran narrates: I heard my grandfather say: "When Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, he was suffering to some extent from consumption (tuberculosis). He remained caliph for two and a half years."
Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
