وَعَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ : أَعْتَقَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ سَبْعَةً مِمَّنْ كَانَ يُعَذَّبُ فِي اللَّهِ . مِنْهُمْ : بِلَالٌ ، وَعَامِرُ بْنُ فُهَيْرَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى عُرْوَةَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Urwah narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) freed seven people who were being tortured for the sake of Allah; among them were Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Amir bin Fuhayrah (may Allah be pleased with him).
