وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ اتَّخَذَنِي خَلِيلًا كَمَا اتَّخَذَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا ، وَإِنَّ خَلِيلِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَلْهَانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has taken me as a Khalil (intimate friend), just as He took Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) as a Khalil, and my Khalil is Abu Bakr."
