وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَمَنُّ عَلَيَّ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، زَوَّجَنِي ابْنَتَهُ ، وَأَخْرَجَنِي إِلَى دَارِ الْهِجْرَةِ ، وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذَتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَلَكِنْ إِخَاءٌ وَمَوَدَّةٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ نَهْشَلُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one has treated me better than Abu Bakr. He gave me his daughter in marriage and he took me with him to the Abode of Emigration. If I were to take anyone as a Khalil (intimate friend), I would have taken Abu Bakr as a Khalil, but brotherhood and love will remain until the Day of Resurrection."
