Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14317

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions were swimming in a pond. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Let each one of you swim to his companion. So each of them swam to his companion, and only the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) remained. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) swam to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) until he embraced him, and said: I go to my companion, I go to my companion.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
