Majma al-Zawaid 14302 — I saw Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq
وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ فِي غَزْوَةِ ذَاتِ السَّلَاسِلِ ، وَكَأَنَّ لِحْيَتَهُ لَهَبُ الْعَرْفَجِ ، عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ أَدَمًا أَبْيَضَ نَحِيفًا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفِ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

A man from Banu Asad narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) on the occasion of the expedition of Dhat al-Salasil; his beard was red like the tree called 'arfaj. He was riding his she-camel, and he was a man of fair complexion and slender build.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and I do not know the man from Banu Asad; the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
