Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14281

Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) (that is, Imam al-Baqir (may Allah have mercy on him)) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) came out wrapped in her cloak, saying: "After you there have come such news and hardships that, had you been present with them, there would not have been so much distress."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that the narrator Muhammad (that is, Imam al-Baqir) did not reach the time of Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her).
