Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14275

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Abbas, Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyiduna Fadl (may Allah be pleased with them) entered the blessed grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). A man from the Ansar prepared his lahd (niche grave); he was the same man who had prepared the graves of the martyrs on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say:
Ibn Majah recorded it as a longer narration than this, and it does not mention Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), nor the man who prepared the lahd of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Ayyub bin Mansur, who erred in a hadith that Abu Dawud recorded from him; the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
