Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14185

Sayyidah Umm Sunbulah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a gift, but the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) refused to accept it. They said: We will not take this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered those wives, and they accepted it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted her a valley as a land grant. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him) bought that land from Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Qayzi, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
