Sayyiduna al-Hakam bin al-Harith al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me on an errand. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while my she-camel had stopped and I was beating her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not beat her! Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hal!" (a call used to urge a camel on). So she rose from her place and began to move along with the other people.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
