Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man from the Ansar had two camels. He put them both into a garden and shut the gate. Then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), intending that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) should supplicate for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with some people from the Ansar. He said: "O Prophet of Allah! I have come regarding a matter. I have two camels which have both become unruly. I have put them both into a garden and shut the gate. I would like you to supplicate for me that Allah Almighty subdue them for me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Companions: "Get up with us." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went, then he came to the gate and said: "Open the gate!" That man became fearful for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Open the gate." He opened the gate, and one of the two camels was near the gate. When it saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it prostrated before him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring me something with which I can tie its head and hand it over to your control." The man brought a halter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tied its head and brought it under control. Then he went to a corner of the garden where the other camel was. When it saw him, it too went down in prostration. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to that man: "Bring me something with which I can tie its head." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tied its head and handed it over to that man's control. Then he said: "Go! These two will not disobey you." When the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw this situation, they said: "These two camels, which have no intellect, have prostrated to you; should we not prostrate to you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will not permit anyone to prostrate to another. If I were to permit anyone to prostrate to another, I would have instructed the woman to prostrate to her husband."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Azzah al-Dabbagh, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy); his name is al-Hakam bin Tahman. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
