Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who was sharp-tongued, and this was well known about her. In front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was qadid (dried meat), which he was eating. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a piece of meat and put it in his mouth, then he chewed it, once on one side and once on the other side. The woman said: "O Prophet of Allah! Will you not give me something to eat?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes!" So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held out to her what was in front of him. The woman said: "No! I will take only what is in your mouth." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took it out of his mouth and gave it to the woman. The woman put it in her mouth and began chewing it, until she swallowed it. After that, the sharpness of tongue and rudeness for which she was known never again appeared from that woman.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ali bin Yazid al-Alhani, and he is da'if (weak). Another route of this report has already passed.
