Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Groups of Arabs came in great numbers to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), until he was distressed. The Muhajirun rose and came to him and moved those people away from him, until he stood at the threshold of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). They pressed hard upon him, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) let go of his cloak, leaving it in their hands, and quickly leapt over the threshold and went inside. Then he said: "O Allah, curse them!" Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Messenger of Allah, these people will be ruined." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Certainly not! By Allah, O daughter of Abu Bakr, I have made a condition with my Lord which will not be broken. I said: I am a human being; I become distressed just as any human being becomes distressed. So whichever of the believers something hasty comes from me against, make it an expiation for that person." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is reported in the Sahih from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), but without this context.
Ahmad recorded it, and the chain of this narration is hasan (good), except that the narrator Muhammad bin Ja'far bin al-Zubayr did not meet Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
