وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " فُضِّلْتُ بِأَرْبَعٍ : جُعِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ لِأُمَّتِي مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا ، وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً ، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرٍ يَسِيرُ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ ، وَأُحِلَّتْ لِأُمَّتِي الْغَنَائِمُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have been given superiority through four things: the earth has been made for my Ummah a place of prayer and a means of purification; I have been sent to all people; I have been helped by awe from a distance of a month, which goes ahead of me; and the spoils of war have been made lawful for my Ummah."
