وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ عَرَضَ لِي ، فَجَعَلَ يُلْقِي عَلَيَّ شَرَّ النَّارِ ، فَلَوْلَا دَعْوَةُ أَخِي سُلَيْمَانَ لَأَخَذْتُهُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Satan came to me and began throwing sparks of fire at me. Had it not been for the supplication of my brother Sayyiduna Sulayman (peace be upon him), I would have seized him."
